The movie begins in a small town in Oklahoma, where Claude Bukowski boards a bus for New York City, where he is to be drafted to fight in Vietnam. Once Claude arrives, he is surprised to see a large group of hippies in Central Park. A tribe of four hippies ask him for MONEY and he gives them a quarter. He also sees a beautiful blonde riding a horse and goes after her, encouraged by the tribe. The Tribe then befriend him and share some dope with him.
